On the 3rd November 2025, we held the workshop Communicating hereditary cancer on and off social media at the University of Sheffield and online.
The event showcased existing research about hereditary cancer communication and lived experience and findings from the project. It included talks and discussions from researchers, representatives from advocacy organisations and participants of our own research. Together, we worked to define "good social media" for hereditary cancer and inform our final report for publics and genetic counsellors.
Recordings from the event are available below 👇. For privacy reasons, we are not sharing the recording of our participant panel. However, its work will be an integral part of the final project report, which will be shared on the project website.
