Late submission will result in a deduction of 5% of the total mark awarded for the piece of work for each working day after the submission date. Standard mathematical rounding rules should be applied and marks should be rounded up. The 5 working day deadline for late submission is absolute and any work submitted after the 5 working day period without a special dispensation will receive zero.

Word count penalties: There is no leeway to the maximum word limit specified. You are expected to be honest in giving your word count. If examiners have suspicions about your word count, they can access your electronic copy in Turnitin and check the word count themselves. If you are found to have misrepresented the word count then you may be considered for disciplinary action or further penalty. For work submitted over the word count the following penalties will apply.
Exceeding word count by Penalty
Up to 10% 5%
>10% and <20% 10%
>20% and <30% 15%
>30% and <40% 20%
>40% and <50% 25%
More than 50% 100%
Non-attendance of presentation: If you do not attend your presentation you will recieve a zero mark for that component.
