To access your student record please log in via this link https://www.sheffield.ac.uk/ssid/record. Here you can amend your personal details, your address and get your digital transcript.
All students are emailed the contact details of their Personal Tutor at Induction. If you have lost these details or would like to see someone different to discuss anything that is course related or of a personal nature then please email med-ed@sheffield.ac.uk and ask for the details to be resent.
Alternatively if you do not wish to speak to a Personal Tutor then the Learning & Teaching Administrator will also be able to help with anything you may wish to discuss and will be able to sign post you to other resources if necessary.
Before taking a LOA
Before applying for Leave of Absence (LOA) Please take a look at the following information https://students.sheffield.ac.uk/leave-of-absence. Once you have read all the information regarding your LOA email med-ed@sheffield.ac.uk to request the LOA and a form will be sent to you to complete.
All students are provided with a university of Sheffield computer account and a University email address.
IMPORTANT
It is your responsibility to check this on a daily basis for any communication from the team
You may find it easier to forward your student email to a personal email address you use daily rather than remembering to log in daily. We sent important communications to your student email at all times of the year not just when feedback is due to be released.
Set up email forwarding so that emails are automatically forwarded to your
personal email account.
Email forwarding will stay active after your account is suspended, until the account is permanently deleted. This will be four weeks after you graduate.
Log into your student account.
Click on the gear icon, select Settings from the menu
Select the tab Forwarding and POP/IMAP
Click on Add a forwarding address
In the popup box, enter the email address you want your emails forwarding to and click Next
You will be asked to confirm the addition of the forwarding address. Click Proceed to confirm.
A Confirmation code will be sent to the forwarding address.
Log into the email address you want your account forwarding to and open the email with University of Sheffield Forwarding Confirmation in the subject, and click on the link provided to confirm the email forwarding.
A Confirmation Success! page will appear telling you that your forwarding is now setup.
By default, the forwarding although configured is set to Disabled. So you will need to activate your forwarding.
Click on Gear symbol, select Settings from the menu
Select the tab Forwarding and POP/IMAP. You will now see you forwarding address listed.
Select Forward a copy of incoming mail to, to activate your forwarding
