WER Challenge 2020

The Internet of Everything

Thank you for deciding to take part in this WER Home Learning Challenge.

On this website you will find the 4 challenges - Debugging, WER 2020 task model attachments, Robot of the future design and Programming.

You can do as many or as few as you like - however, the more tasks you do, the more points you will potentially earn. Remember the top 12 students from each entering school will be given an opportunity to enter the UK Finals in July (with safe distancing and bubble groupings).

We look forward to sharing your work on this site.

Good Luck!

Please note - you do not need experience of WER robots to participate in challenge 2 and 3.

The more tasks your child completes, the more points they will potentially earn. Children who have NOT had experience of WER robots will be given an extra allowance for the 2 tasks that they will find tricker (though they may still be able to work them out)

Parent Information:

The competition starts on 18th May and all work must be submitted by 15th June.

Judges will review the submitted entries and we will publish the results via this site on Monday 22nd June.

To enter, your child needs to contact their teacher and share either a picture or a video of their work. However, by entering this competition and submitting work, you are agreeing for their work to be shared and viewed on this website which will be accessible by people outside of their school. Therefore please do not include any faces and use only first names in all work.

The work will also be accessible to our judges who have a variety of backgrounds in the STEM field.

Please see this page, which gives you more information about the fantastic prizes and opportunities that are offer.
