Director of Bands - Christopher HallChristopher Hall is an educator, conductor, clinician, and trombonist who is in his 2nd year with Shawnee Public Schools and his 13th year in public education. Mr. Hall previously taught in the Lindsay, Washington, and Enid, Oklahoma School Districts. List of successes include several OSSAA  sweepstakes awards, numerous state marching, concert, and jazz band state superior ratings. Most importantly, many of Mr. Hall’s former students have gone on to become professional musicians and music educators.  Mr. Hall holds a Bachelor’s of Music Education degree from Southwestern Oklahoma State University and Master’s Degree in Conducting from Oklahoma City University where he studied conducting with Dr. Matthew Mailman and Jan McDaniel. Mr. Hall serves as the Fine Arts Coordinator for Shawnee Public School.  He also oversees the entire 6th through 12th grade vertical Band Program. Assistant Director of Bands - Jackson AndersonJackson Anderson is a proud graduate of Southwestern Oklahoma State University’s Department of Music where he studied piano, horn, voice, and conducting. He spent the first five years of his teaching career at Garber Public Schools as Director of Bands. Under his direction, the band grew into a competitive program consistently earning Superior Ratings at the Middle School and High School levels in both Marching and Concert and was selected as District Teacher of the Year for 2018-19. Mr. Anderson is in his 8th year of teaching. His duties include coordinating the 6th Grade Beginning Band program as well as teaching Clarinet Class and Horn Class.  He directs the HS Symphonic Band in the Spring and assists the 7th Grade Intermediate Band, 8th Grade Advanced Band, and the Pride of the Pack Marching Band.  Mr. Anderson took a year off to serve as the Worship Arts Director for Emmanuel Enid and oversaw the entire Music, Production, and Creative Arts Department and led the Choir and the Orchestra. He is an active clinician and composer, specializing in Wind Band music with publications through C.L. Barnhouse, Co. and Rremboq Music.  Mr. Anderson has had his music played across the United States and in Japan.  In 2018, the Dallas Winds Brass and Percussion premiered his "Eternal Conquerors" at Moody Hall in downtown Dallas.Mr. Anderson is an accomplished pianist and is highly sought after as a collaborative pianist and chamber musician. Professional affiliations include OkMEA, OBA, TMEA, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, Kappa Kappa Psi, ASCAP, Sigma Alpha Iota (Friend of the Arts), and the International Percy Grainger Society.Mr. Anderson is an avid traveler,  and in his spare time enjoys golfing, spending time with friends and family, and taking pictures of his food.Email: jacanderson@shawnee.k12.ok.us
Assistant Director of Bands - Maddy WilsonMaddy Wilson is in her 3rd year teaching, with many more years of experience teaching private flute lessons, and is an accomplished Woodwind Specialist. Previously she taught at Drumright Public Schools and worked part time as an assistant at Oklahoma Christian School in Edmond, OK.  Ms. Wilson is graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma where she played in Wind Ensemble, Symphony Band, Symphony Orchestra, and Flute Choir. She also marched in the Pride of Oklahoma for 3 years.Ms. Wilson is in her 2nd year of teaching here at Shawnee. Her duties include directing the 8th Grade Advanced Band as well as teaching Flute Class and Trumpet Class. She assists the HS Symphonic Band in the Spring, the 7th Grade Intermediate Band, and the Pride of the Pack Marching Band.Ms. Wilson enjoys crafting, spending time with her dog, Muffin, and all things Disney. Percussion Coordinator - William Welden

William Welden is a music education major at east central university where he studies percussion under Dr. Nicholous Meyers.  At ECU William plays in the drumline, percussion ensemble, jazz band, wind ensemble, and brass band.


Additionally, William’s experience in the marching arts include three seasons of front ensemble experience with Resistance Indoor Percussion, and one season of DCI experience with the Colts Drum and Bugle Corp.

Color Guard Coordinator - Lyndsie Avenius

Lyndsie Avenius grew up in Henrietta, TX performing in the Color Guard all throughout High School. She is also currently in her second year as Director of Oklahoma Baptist University's Color Guard. 


She is excited to be joining the Pride of the Pack this year!
