Hello! I'm Sarah Wayne or Coach Wayne as most students call me. I have been teaching at Viera High School since it opened in 2006. My passion for teaching started at a young age following in my families footsteps- four generations of teachers across the country and here in Florida. Growing up in Suntree, after high school I attending the University of Kentucky to play volleyball and pursue my education as a psychology major. I had always dreamt I would come back to Brevard County to teach and coach. I have taught AP Psychology for 13 years and as an original faculty member, I have seen the growth of our Advanced Placement program here at Viera. AP Psychology is an amazing subject that connects directly to our everyday lives, and my job is to help students not only prepare for the AP exam but also to think critically about the way psychology shapes the world around us. The ultimate goal is to make students want to learn more about psychology and get them to start thinking about the evidence each time they encounter statements about behavior.
