Summer Enrichment Opportunities
Click on the blue bar with the date range desired under the camp to register your child. Seating is limited in each course, seats will be filled as students are registered. Parent(s)/guardian(s) will be notified by email their child's registration status.
Each session has limited space available, you will receive a confirmation e-mail confirming your student's registration status as either Enrolled, Waitlisted, or Denied due to capacity being met. Cultural Exchange Learning
The Cultural Exchange Learning Program promotes a rich history of the Jamaican culture. It will provide students with the opportunity to gain knowledge on Jamaican's way of life, their music, dance and food. Not only this, but students will learn and practice using the Creole language otherwise known as Patios so they can be equipped for this diverse world.
Session one: Jamaican Arts and Crafts Be exposed to the Jamaican artistic heritage. From colorful paintings to intricate sculpture and handmade crafts that provides the rich tapestry of Jamaica artistry heritage. This session will develop students’ artistic skills by making some of the most renowned art and craft pieces of Jamaica: These include: Tie and Die T-shirts, Bracelets, Rasta Pencils, Dyed Rice used to make flag and bird craft and many more…
Session Two: Traditional Games Practiced in Jamaica There are several traditional games that are a part of the Jamaican culture that aid in developing critical thinking and social skills of children. In this session, students will be exposed to the traditional games practiced in Jamaica, learn about the historical meaning of each game, and develop their social skills by practicing the games below. Session Three: Cultural Yard Session three will provide a virtual tour of the Jamaican culture. This will include places to experience, the variety of food, music, and the rich culture of the island. Students will be involved in a choreographed dance and practice the routines of some traditional dances.
Session Four: Learning the Jamaican Creole (Patoi) Jamaican Patois is an English-based creole language that is heavily used for musical purposes, and socialization. This session will focus on the history of the language as well as its linguistic features. Students will learn how to greet each other using the language as well as having basic conversations.

What to Expect Beyond High School- Life Skills, Money Talk, Getting a Job, Finding Your Future, and Decision Making
HIGH SCHOOL! UGHH! WHAT'S NEXT?
Students will be informed on the importance of decision making. Topics will include: importance of work ethic, values, decision making and how decisions made now can affect your future goals, how to get a job, money habits, what to expect beyond High School (College and Trade School Research Military, Entrepreneurship), and Life Skills 101. The camp will have Guest Speakers to visit with us! Skills learned will be meaningful and helpful for all who choose to join us!

Hands-On Future Career Exploration
Students will explore different career opportunities. They will align their personality trait with career choices. Personal vision boards will be created to encourage goal setting. Also many hands-on experiences to help build essential skills like teamwork and problem solving through activities such as Event planning, t-shirt making, balloon gift baskets, balloon center pieces, journaling and more. We will have guest speakers from different careers to come in and speak to the students about how to find their passion in life and how to enter into different career fields.

Fishing & Inland Waters Conservation
Students will learn the fundamentals of fishing on the Space Coast, including rigging, casting, and various fishing techniques. The program will also include fisheries conservation and fish habitat core curriculum lessons provided by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission.

African American Literature
Explores the stories African American authors tell about themselves, their communities, and the world. Examines common and diverging themes within African American literary traditions through the study of diverse authors, genres, and literary movements from a variety of time periods. Emphasizes interpretive and critical analysis skills developed through close reading and consideration of historical and cultural contexts.

Introduction to American Sign Language (ASL)
Embark on a captivating journey into American Sign Language (ASL) with Introduction to ASL Summer Enrichment Course. Perfect for beginners or those with minimal signing experience, this immersive program offers a comprehensive foundation in ASL communication and Deaf culture.
Through interactive lectures, hands-on activities, and immersive practice sessions, students will:
1. Come to know ASL basics, including the manual alphabet and common signs.
2. Understand ASL grammar, syntax, and conversational skills.
3. Expand vocabulary across various topics.
4. Gain cultural insights into the Deaf community.
5. Develop visual-gestural communication proficiency.
This inclusive and supportive learning environment ensures every student's success.
By course completion, students will be able to navigate cultural interactions within the Deaf community

Pickleball
Pickleball is a fun sport anyone can learn to play. It is a great game to help stay in shape and hang out with friends, or you could go pro! Through drills and games, players will learn the rules and fundamental techniques to play pickleball, with the opportunity to become a more advanced player.

Summer Chorus and Orff Performance!
Join Mr. Ross and Ms. Massey in a two week extravaganza in music making, ending in a breezy and beautiful concert at Sand Point Park! We will be preparing popular chorus music and Orff pieces. We will dive into singing and instrument playing, having fun along the way! Please come join us! .

Mindful Moment & Art
Rising 7th through 12th: Join us for a week-long exploration of yoga, movement, mindfulness, and art. Introducing simple poses, relaxation and body awareness strategies, calming and strengthening exercises, and mindful art projects appropriate for students in 6th - 12th. We will focus on movement and social emotional learning activities in the morning (from 8:30 to 11:30 AM led by Ms. Jamie Marovich, THS Literacy Coach and certified yoga instructor and SEL certified facilitator and exercise and movements by Mrs. Jackie Berley, THS PE instructor to support body awareness, healthy movement and stress management). After lunch until 3:30, we will create a variety of mindful, creative art projects lead by Mrs. Dara Outerino, THS art teacher. At each daily session, learners will reflect on an area of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) and create a mindful work of art. Note: Students are strongly encouraged wear clothing they can move and stretch comfortably in such as athletic.

Student Life Enrichment
Dreamers and Doers Paradise! Let’s explore your dream career and make an educational plan of action. Students will create portfolios and vision boards that will include life plans from high school and beyond. We will study different high school and college courses/programs that are offered locally. In addition, students will learn about different ways to fund their college or trade programs. Other topics for discussion include Pell grants, student loans, private loans etc. We are looking for to meeting and assisting your rising 8th -10th graders. Our goal is to help students get ahead of the ball instead of catching up!

Food Truck Mania
This week challenge yourself as you learn about the food truck industry and compete against your peers in Food Truck Wars! Students will design and build their own food truck model and create a signature dish. Guest speakers from the industry will share their personal business experiences. The week will lead up to a competition where students will cook their signature dish and present their trailers to a panel of judges.

ArtVentures: Exploring Creativity Across Mediums is a vibrant and dynamic enrichment class tailored for aspiring artists eager to explore a variety of creative mediums. Over the course of the program, participants will delve into an array of artistic expressions, including painting, drawing, wood-burning, printmaking, and more. Through hands-on experimentation and guided instruction, students will unlock their creativity, discovering the unique possibilities each medium offers. Whether a novice or seasoned artist, this enriching experience promises to inspire, challenge, and ignite a lifelong passion for the arts. Join us on this journey of self-expression and artistic discovery!

Introduction to Volleyball
This program is designed for 6th-8th grade students who want to learn to play volleyball. Participants will take part in various activities that will help them develop the skills & techniques for the sport. In addition, rules & officiating skills will be introduced in a variety of game situations.

STEM: Coding and 3D Printing
In this program, we will spend time learning the basics of important 21st century skills and Engineering Design Process. Students will have the opportunity to code using Ozobots, Scratch Online and other robots. There will also be an opportunity to learn TynkerCad and print using a 3-D Printer. Students will learn coding basics, 3D Printing basics, complete engineering challenges and more. Students that are familiar with these skills may work at their own levels to produce advanced products with these various tools.
