My name is Catherine Jones, and I'm one of the Language Arts teachers. I have always lived in St. Louis. I attended Assumption Parish School in South County and then my family moved so that I could attend Clayton High School. I went to Mizzou for my undergrad in English Education. I worked in the Hazelwood School District for my public school career. I taught middle and high school English. Unexpectedly, the district needed a German teacher and asked me to step up. So, I earned my German certification by taking evening classes at SLU and Wash U. This was before online education! I then earned my Master's in Library Science through Lindenwood and transitioned to working as a librarian at both the elementary and high schools. When I retired, I wanted to return to Catholic education as a teacher since my years in Catholic school influenced me throughout my life.
I married my college sweetheart in 1994 and we have 2 daughters. Claire is 25 and lives in Orlando. Allie is 20 and lives at home. I love reading, cooking new recipes, and watching Formula 1 racing with my family. We often travel to the Outer Banks for vacation, and I get to stay with my daughter in Florida as often as I can get away.
