Band Senior High

Senior High Band is open to all senior high school students with prior experience performing a concert band instrument. Students perform diverse repertoire, in preparation for numerous concerts and marching band performances scheduled throughout the school year. Prerequisite: Prior participation in Band 7 and 8.
Orchestra Senior High

Senior High Orchestra is open to all senior high students with prior experience performing a string instrument. Students perform diverse repertoire, in preparation for public performances scheduled throughout the school year. Prerequisite: Prior participation in Orchestra 7 and 8.
Chorus Senior High

Students in this ensemble perform a wide range of vocal styles and genres. Performances include school concerts as well as community events. Prerequisite: Prior participation in Chorus 7 and 8.
Music Theory

Music Theory is a full year course that provides students with a strong foundation in the fundamentals of music reading, writing, and analysis. Students will study rhythm, scales, key signatures, intervals, chords, and basic harmony while developing skills in sight-singing, ear training, and melodic dictation. Through listening, performing, and composing activities, they will deepen their understanding of how music is structured and strengthen their overall musicianship. No prior theory experience is required, just curiosity and a willingness to explore how music works. This course supports students in becoming more confident, independent, and well-rounded musicians, enriching their experiences in any musical setting they choose to pursue.
AP Music Theory

AP Music Theory is an Advanced Placement music course. The curriculum includes advanced music theory, composition writing, conducting, arranging, improvisation, advanced music dictation and sight singing. Students will take the Advanced Placement examination in May.
Introduction to Music Production
Discover the basics of creating, recording, and editing music using a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW). In this hands-on course, students will explore beat-making, audio mixing, and song production techniques while developing their creative and technical skills. No prior experience is necessary—just bring your imagination!
