Canvas: Used for staying up-to-date with homework, assessments, deadlines, grades, and communication (announcements & messages)
Infinite Campus: Used for progress/quarter/final grades, reports cards, unofficial transcript, schedule, attendance, fees, detentions, & academic planning
Naviance: Students need to use the single sign-on feature with their SEQ account. Naviance is used for college & career exploration. Seniors use Naviance regularly due to the college application process, however, underclassmen should utilize this platform to create their resume, and for their exploration and research leading up to senior year. Seniors who need letters of recommendation for their college applications will complete required to-do's in Naviance. Through Naviance, students may also sign up for College Representative Visits hosted in the College & Career Center and also apply for Scholarships.
College & Career Weekly Newsletter Emails: Sent by Ms. Yeager & Mr. Rebello on Sundays. It's filled with a lot of information for post-secondary planning, student opportunities, important grade level information, and more.
Sequoia Email: Students and Staff use email to communicate regularly. Please check your SEQ email daily.

Students and Parents: Sequoia High School has this process to ensure that students, parents, teachers, and counselors are on the same page in order to send the appropriate documents via Naviance. The School Report/Letter of Recommendation (SR/LOR) Request Form serves as an agreement between students, their teachers, and their counselor to send the required documents to the colleges listed on the form [to the right] by the deadlines specified. This includes the initial School Report, Letters of Recommendation, Mid-Year Reports, and Final Report (if applicable). Only schools listed on this form will receive these documents.
*Note: If the student adds a college without informing their counselor, their documents will NOT be sent. We also encourage you to discuss financial aid and scholarship opportunities with your student.
Sequoia High School Counselor School Report (SR) and Letter of Recommendation (LOR) Requests for the class of 2027
Please note that there is a required SR/LOR process for Sequoia High School seniors. They must complete the process by specific deadlines (see below), even if they are being supported by a private college advisor or college readiness program.
Deadline for seniors to turn in SR/LOR form for Early Admissions: 9/18
For College Application Deadlines between 10/15 - 12/15
All required SR/LOR to-do's and form must be completed by the time the student meets with their counselor by 9/18 for early admissions SR/LOR requests.
Deadline to submit SR/LOR for Regular Decision: 11/6
For College Application Deadlines after 12/15
All required SR/LOR to-do's and form must be completed by the time the student meets with their counselor by 11/6 for regular admissions SR/LOR requests.
Here is the link to the SR/LOR Flex workshop slides. If students need a SR/LOR they are required to attend one Flex workshop. The Early Admissions Flex workshops are Sept 2-3 and Sept 10-11. Seniors had the opportunity to sign up for the September SR/LOR Flex workshops in their social studies classes during counselor class visits Aug 27-28.
