California’s AB 469 requires all high school seniors to either complete the FAFSA or CADAA, or submit an opt-out form. The goal is to make sure every student knows about and has access to financial aid for college/higher education, no matter their background.
It is a SUHSD requirement for all seniors to complete a financial aid application (FAFSA or CADAA) for college or vocational school. Students & parents/guardians that do not plan to complete an application must contact their assigned school counselor to obtain the SUHSD financial aid opt-out form.
The 2026-27 FAFSA & CADAA applications will be available starting October 1, 2025.

Has your College/University destination changed? Need your IB Scores sent somewhere new?
If your college/university/program destination changed after June 6th, and you need your scores sent to a different institution, you can request additional score reports be sent directly from IB's central headquarters by clicking here. There is a fee of $17.00 per score report.
Unfortunately, Sequoia's IB office could only arrange your free score report delivery to one institution before June 6th. After June 6th, Sequoia's IB office is not permitted to make requests for students/graduates. Only students themselves can request scores be sent, directly from IB. Thank you!
Questions: Contact the IB Coordinator- Elisa Niño-Sears, eninosears@seq.org
¡Gracias!
