Hello! My name is Mo, and I’m thrilled to be your 12th Grade Program Manager. I grew up in Los Angeles and Seoul, raised by two immigrants, the Korean church, and countless mentors and friends. In college, I discovered my passion for youth empowerment and creative expression, which led me to an year with the Asian Task Force Against Domestic Violence, four years teaching 10th grade English in Hayward, and of course, working with SEO Scholars.
Outside of SEO, you can find me struggling at the rock climbing gym, hanging out at an open mic, and starting a new book (instead of finishing any of the dozen abandoned books on my nightstand).
I believes deeply in my students' voices, and I'm excited to support you this year as you seize every opportunity! Please review all the tools available on this website including all the ways to connect with me!

Hello SEO Family! My name is Angel Padilla, but everyone calls me Cheese. For this academic year, I will be serving as the initial Destination College Advising Corps (DCAC), College Advising Fellow. I was born and raised in San Francisco. I attended Stuart Hall High School and recently graduated from Boston University this past Spring. My drive to become an advisor stems from my previous experience on both ends of the advising relationship. I hope to create meaningful connections with you all to ultimately help you seize every educational opportunity and goal.
At SEO, I will be your support by:
Individual student/family advising
Application and admission assistance to colleges/universities
Saturday/Weekly workshop facilitation (financial aid, college & career exploration, college preparation, and more)
Outside of SEO, I enjoy playing baseball, soccer, and basketball. I love watching the Raiders, Warriors, and Giants! Also, family is a huge part of my life.
I can’t wait to meet you all! Let’s hit the ground running. If you have any questions/concerns and/or ever need assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out.
