I like being a superstar. I’m fantastic. I’m so proud of myself. I love karaoke so much. Because it’s on my phone I can do it anywhere and I wanted to share my joy and love of karaoke with you. That is why I have used it in my artwork. The film clips you see have images that I have painted with acrylic and watercolour and Alex Moss and Matthew Fargher have brought them to life digitally. I edied some of the videos. Here is why I chose these songs:
I love to sing Cake by the Ocean, it reminds me of a favourite movie – Pitch Perfect 3
Don’t Stop Me Now is my favourite song. I do love Queen and I do love Freddie Mercury. He is my greatest idol. Shazam and Bohemian Rhapsody are also favourite movies of mine.
Eye of The Tiger feels like ‘ggrrrrooooowwwwlll.’ It makes me feel strong, fierce, ready to take on anything. Pow Pow Pow! Think of Rocky.
I love to sing, drum and dance and that is what I bring to Second Echo Ensemble. Combining my visual art with my love of karaoke shows who I am really well.

David also loves to play the drums. He is excited to be the assistant choreographer for The Adventures of Peacock, Chicken and the Pony they Rode Upon which will premiere in 2025 .
There is a pair of headphones and a microphone stand that holds a blue hairbrush in place of a microphone. There is a yellow leather jacket draped over the stand. The viewer is invited to listen to the music coming out of the head set. There are songs that David loves to sing which are played here. These include Cake by the Ocean, Don’t Stop Me Now, Eye of The Tiger and We Will Rock You. The audience is invited to sing Karoke style along with the tracks.
There is also a large TV monitor that displays film clips for each song that include images that David has painted with acrylic and watercolour. Some of his art works have been digitally animated by Alex Moss and Matthew Fargher. Dave has edited the videos. The video also has song captions so people can sing along. If you watch a few karaoke videos you will come across a short commercial. A video portrait of Dave wearing a yellow jacket like Freddie Mercury. He is playing air drum sticks that actually turn the air into drums. He dances and drums in the video with joy.
