In my role as a Researcher and Communications Manager with The ASASE Foundation from September 2018 to December 2022, I was actively involved in social business initiatives supporting women entrepreneurs in underprivileged Ghanaian neighborhoods. I wrote monthly blogs to raise awareness of ASASE’s initiatives and recycling projects.
My collaboration with the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH Zurich) was key in consolidating global best practices for recycling initiatives, contributing significantly to Ghana's infrastructure improvement and recycling processes. I identified and recommended plastics repurposing opportunities that fit Ghana’s socioeconomic structure, such as pavement blocks made from sand and plastic, resulting in over 30% cost savings.
Furthermore, as a member of the recruiting team, I focused on engaging Ghanaian entrepreneurs for future repurposing projects, demonstrating my commitment to sustainable development and community empowerment.
