As a dedicated volunteer instructor licensed by the French Tennis Federation, I have had the privilege of nurturing young tennis enthusiasts at the Tennis Club de Croissy sur Seine, the largest club in the Yvelines region. From September 2017 to July 2021, my focus was on the holistic development of 7-12-year-olds. I ensured the acquisition of advanced technical skills to prepare them for competitive tennis, guiding them through the nuances of the game. My approach was not just about teaching tennis strokes; it was about mentoring each student to embody fundamental sportsmanship values such as competitive integrity, mutual respect, and team spirit. These are the values that elevate a player from good to great on and off the court, and I take pride in having instilled these in my students.
As the varsity team captain and competitor in singles tournaments, my journey in tennis has been both challenging and rewarding. Having been a ranked tennis player since the age of eight, I've participated in 25-60 matches annually, leading me to win 10 tournaments and enter 20 finalist titles. In addition, as captain for 8 years, I have led our varsity team to the regional finals.
The journey as an instructor and player through various competitive levels at the Tennis Club de Croissy sur Seine has not only deepened my understanding of the sport, but also developed me as a player, a mentor, and a leader. The dual perspective as both an instructor and a competitor has been instrumental in my approach to coaching, allowing me to offer unique insights and strategies to my students, shaping them into not just skilled players, but true sportspeople on and off the court.
