Introduction
A composite material is a material which is produced from two or more constituent materials. These constituent materials have notably dissimilar chemical or physical properties and are merged to create a material with properties unlike the individual elements. Within the finished structure, the individual elements remain separate and distinct, distinguishing composites from mixtures and solid solution.
Most composites are made up of just two materials. One material (the matrix or binder) surrounds and binds together a cluster of fibres or fragments of a much stronger material (the reinforcement).
Intent
Composite material consist of two component or it is a combination of fibres and binder. Trying different combinations of fibre and binder to attain rigidity are what the experiments about. The set of experiments with different fibers and binders also focus on methods of processing composite material 1. Mixture 2. Layering
