Experiment 1

This exp is carried out on apparatus 1

A cube measuring 30cm x 30cm x 30cm.

Material- Glass fibre, Resin, Thread

The material used is a  40cm by 40cm glass fibre square. The cube is marked at every 1 cm along its perimeter. Two threads are tied at the opposite edges of the top face of the cube. The length of the thread is ..........cm. The square cut-out of the glass fibre is placed on the thread matching the centre of the square of glass fibre with the intersection point of two threads. The edges of the square of glass fibre are kept on the thread and resin is applied.

Expriment 2

This exp is carried out on apparatus 2

A cube measuring 20cm x 20cm x 20cm.

Material- Glass fibre, Resin, Thread

The material used is a  30cm by 30cm glass fibre square. The cube is marked at every 1 cm along its perimeter. Two threads are tied at the opposite edges of the top face of the cube. The length of the thread is ..........cm. Here the inner box is kept perpendicular to the outer frame.  The square cut-out of the glass fibre is placed on the thread matching the centre of the square of glass fibre with the intersection point of two threads. The edges of the square of glass fibre are kept on the thread and resin is applied.

Form 1

Apparatus: A cube that is 50cm by 50cm by 50cm in size. The cube is marrked at 2cm interval along its outer side of the cube.

Materal-

Fibreglass, resin, and thread

Procedure: A 35 centimetre glass fibre equilateral triangle was the material utilised. On the cube's top face, two threads are knotted digonally at the vertex and the 3rd thread is tied at 12 cm from the edge of the other side forming a triangle with its centroid. Glass fibre is cut and used to create an equilateral triangle that is laid on a thread with the centriod of the triangle aligned with the point where three threads connect. The mixture of resin, cobalt and harderner is used in ratio of 1:2:2. This mixture of resin is applied while the glass fibre triangle's edges are retained on the thread.

Time: 2.30 hours

Form 2

Appartus: A cube with the dimensions 50cmx50cmx50cm is used.At each 1 cm interval along its outside, the cube is marked.

Material: Glass fibre, resin, and thread.

Procedure: A square of glass fibre measuring 45cm by 45cm was utilised. On the cube's top face, two threads are connected at the opposing edges. The thread measures 55cm in length. The glass fibre square cutout is positioned on a thread so that the junction of two threads and the glass fibre square's centre line up. The mixture of resin cobalt and hardner is used in 1:2:2. while applying mixture of resin the glass fibre square's edges are retained on the thread.

Time: ~2.30 hours

Stage 2

Appartus: A cube with the dimensions 90x90x90 is used .At each 1 cm interval along its outside, the cube is marked.

Material: Glass fibre, resin, and thread.

Procedure: A equilateral triangle of glass fibre measuring 105cm each side was utilised. On the cube's top face, two threads are connected at the opposing edges. The thread measures 55cm in length. The glass fibre triangle lecutout is positioned on a thread so that the junction of two threads and the glass fibre square's centre line up. The mixture of resin cobalt and hardner is used in 1:2:2. while applying mixture of resin the glass fibre square's edges are retained on the thread.

Time: ~30 minutes

Different joineries are explored to multiply units to form an arch.
