State and federal law require school districts to protect the privacy of student data, including the websites that students can sign into with their district email accounts. While this policy has been in effect for many years, there was a recent change in the way districts control which sites students can sign into with their school email. As a result, students may see a message that their login is blocked by the administrator when they use the Google Sign in option.
Check the Guide to District-Supported Programs to see if there is a supported tool that serves a similar function.
Discuss possible use with your site admin, including available funding for paid tools.
Review the list below to see if the tool has already been approved from a data privacy standpoint.
