Make Up Policy

If a student is absent, it is the student’s responsibility to make up the missing assignments. The student must take responsibility to speak with the teacher about make-up work before or after class, although many assignments can be completed simply by looking at Google Classroom. The teacher is under no obligation to grant requests for make-up work for students who have been truant or who have an unexcused absence.

    • Make-up class assignments: Make-up class work must be completed within one class period of the student's return to class. (extensions for longer absences)

    • Make-up labs: Recipes that could not be accessed in class must be completed at home. Details for make-up labs will be discussed in class. Students must submit make-up labs no later than one week after the end of the unit/test for the unit.

    • Make-up exams: Students must schedule to make up any exam, and must take the exam within two class days.

Late Work

  • Late class assignments may be turned in for half credit if it is completed. Late labs and projects are penalized 10% per school day late. If the assignment is more than four school days late, then the assignment receives a maximum of 50% credit.

  • Unit Assignments: Partial Credit is given for late assignments that are completed by the end of the unit.

Cheating/Plagiarism

Results in a zero for the assignment and a referral to the school administration. The classwork is straightforward. Please don't make it harder than it is.
