Make Up Policy
If a student is absent, it is the student’s responsibility to make up the missing assignments. The student must take responsibility to speak with the teacher about make-up work before or after class, although many assignments can be completed simply by looking at Google Classroom. The teacher is under no obligation to grant requests for make-up work for students who have been truant or who have an unexcused absence.
Make-up class assignments: Make-up class work must be completed within one class period of the student's return to class. (extensions for longer absences)
Make-up labs: Recipes that could not be accessed in class must be completed at home. Details for make-up labs will be discussed in class. Students must submit make-up labs no later than one week after the end of the unit/test for the unit.
Make-up exams: Students must schedule to make up any exam, and must take the exam within two class days.
Late Work
Late class assignments may be turned in for half credit if it is completed. Late labs and projects are penalized 10% per school day late. If the assignment is more than four school days late, then the assignment receives a maximum of 50% credit.
Unit Assignments: Partial Credit is given for late assignments that are completed by the end of the unit.
Cheating/Plagiarism
Results in a zero for the assignment and a referral to the school administration. The classwork is straightforward. Please don't make it harder than it is.
