SLO Modules
An SLO is a Student Learning Objective. Each teacher is responsible for creating one and using it in conjunction with their evaluation. My SLO for the year is based on helping your raise your proficiency level with regard to 4 major topic areas.
- Operations with Fractions, Order of Operations and Number Theory
- Properties of Exponents
- Solving Equations and Inequalities
- Linear Equations
These topics were covered on the diagnostic you took in the beginning of the year. I am using data from that diagnostic to create a baseline for these 4 areas and I will remeasure your progress based on the work you will complete below.
The SLO Module workflow will be as follows.
1. I will assign a worksheet to give a brief review on the topic.
2. If I assign self-assessment, essential that you complete it. I need to give a final push to remediating these skills.
3. You will do an online form (The material below contain printables for the online forms. This is different than what I did for Flipped Classroom modules. Please try to use the printable in conjunction with the online form. I will be able to grade them more efficiently that way.)
4. I will give feedback on these online assessments and score them. If you have not earned a satisfactory level of proficiency on that particular topic. You will complete subsequent assessments.
