Find apps via MyApps
Go to: myapps.sdccd.edu
Sign in with your student email (probably 1st initial+last name @ student.sdccd.edu)
NOTE: If you cannot figure out your student email, go to myportal.sdccd.edu and look under "personal information" (under Student Quicklinks). Choose Email address to view the Student email address.
Use your portal password
Select MyApps
outlook.office.com
login.microsoftonline.com
Find your 365 account using an Outlook account (not covered in class)
Go to: outlook.live.com
Sign in with your outlook or live account and password
Click on the 9 squares to see all apps
Although you can use these apps in the online format, you may wish to use a desktop version. In particular, you will need the desktop version of Word in order to set up a mailing. Another advantage of downloading the apps that you use is to have an offline version without Internet.
Here is how to download the desktop versions of Microsoft 365 apps:
1. Sign into your Microsoft account: https://outlook.office365.com/ . You will need your SDCCD email address (flastname@student.sdccd.edu) and portal password.
2. Click on “install and more” (top right of page)
3. Choose “Install Microsoft 365 apps”
4. Follow instructions for download
5. You will again be prompted to sign into your account to use these apps.

· Copilot on your Microsoft PC screen:
§ Integrated into Office apps

§ You can interact with it through the app
§ More focused on enhancing productivity within Office apps
§ Example: While working on a Word document, ask Copilot for help in formatting the text or inserting a table
· Copilot integrated into your SDCCD account:
§ Cloud based integration (tied into your Microsoft 365 account and on the cloud)
§ Uses data from your account (emails, calendar events and documents) for more personalized results
§ More of an account-integrated version across multiple devices and platforms
§ Can pull from your data on the cloud
§ Example: You may receive a reminder about an upcoming meeting which Copilot scheduled based on an email conversation before
· Demonstrations:
· Outlook: Ask Copilot to draft an email to your doctor about your upcoming appointment. Or have Copilot to set a reminder for a medication schedule
· Word: Ask Copilot to help you write a letter to your grandchildren. Or take an existing document and ask Copilot to format it with headings and bullet points.
