Where the Sun Meets the Sea by Dj David

My design is inspired by the history and culture of the Marshallese community here in Springdale. I chose the sun and waves to show my homeland and the way our people celebrate who we are. The wave pattern in the background represents the Pacific Ocean, and the colors—blue, yellow, and orange—show the sea and the sun, two important parts of island life. Through my artwork, I want people to feel the warmth of the sun, the movement of the waves, and the beauty of the ocean. This design also shows my pride in being Marshallese and celebrates our community far from home.
