Methods of cutting a subject from scene with Masking:
Brush Tool ♦ Use it if the scene and the subject are in similar color, or blend together. Make the brush big to erase the majority of the background, or small if following the outline of the subject. Use a polygonal lasso tool and fill as an alternative to drawing straight lines.
Quick Selection Tool ♦ Use it if the subject is mostly discernable in color and outline, and can be easily selected using this tool. Corrections can be made with a brush tool once selection is made.
Magic Wand ♦ Same as Quick Selection Tool. Use it if the subject is mostly discernable in color and outline, and can be easily selected using this tool. Corrections can be made with a brush tool once selection is made.
Another thing with the Magic Wand is that you can change the intensity of the selection. This is useful for when you need the tool to select in areas where similarities in pixels are common.
