Rule of thumb: Always download images from source to prevent compression.
My top five tools:
Magic Wand – This tool selects pixels of an image containing a specified color of a pixel, or an average color of multiple pixels.
Layers Panel – This panel is absolutely necessary; it shows all of the layers in your photoshop file.
Brushes + Brush Settings Panel – Essential for digital drawing
Lasso Tool – Selects the area based from the outlines drawn.
Command + T – Transforms the selected shape, area, or layer.
In the case that you lose a panel:
From the top bar, open Windows, then click on one of the panels you want to see.
In the case you want to undo:
On Mac: Command + Z
On Linux/Windows: Control + Z
