It looks like a curvy sword attached to a stem. On the back there are little orange dots and those are the seeds. (Kindergarten student)
They grow in coastal moist areas. They grow close to water or the Red Cedar tree. They grow with lots of shade. They used the leaves for cooking and the roots were used for cooking by Coastal Peoples
( e.g., Squamish). (Grade 3 student)
