This spread took me a while to design because there were so many elements I had to consider.  I first created my photo package with the dominant black and white photo being the one I wanted to interact with the text. Then I chose the photo I wanted to overlap, which was next to the dominant photo and the others became close register. I thought it was a nice balance of a photo package. I then added the elements of black around the borders with green boxes overlapping. By doing this, I was able to build caption blocks and places that I could put the theme copy. After reading the theme copy, I looked at places where I could emphasize different words and phrases. I wanted the "AND PHRASES" to be all in capitalization.
