Sunshine Speaks

Sunshine Speaks

By; Medha V.

If sunshine could speak

It would say

Your beauty blinded even the light of day

Your smile was so bright it caused the sun to look away

Your tears though were met with cloudy skies

As the sun could not bear to look into your saddened face

And as you hide away, when the world grows dark and cold

The sun would burn out its last dying spark

From its despair to see you go

The skies comply with your every demand

Because without you

It’d be a wasteland

And if sunshine would speak

It would be weak

In the wake of your eyes

Reminisce of the skies

A blessing’s disguise

You… even the sun's prize

But yet… never to be mine
