Check out some of the events and activities that make this school one of a kind
Air Rock has been a long time tradition since the early 2000's. What once started as a group of teachers on stage playing air guitar and lip syncing to '80s rock, has grown into pop culture stage productions with various themes, costumes, and props. Each year the students create their own routines to perform as well.
The PE Department enjoys participating in the school dress up days, with Halloween being one of their favorites. Enjoy the photos from past and present.
Sutter and Phoebe Hearst teachers combined to compete in the Spartan Race Sacramento in November 2019.
Mr. Latino and Mr. Moreno enjoyed the experience so much they continued to train and competed in a Spartan Beast which occurred in early 2020.
In these events there are dozens of obstacles from rope climbing, spear throwing, boulder carrying, and even mud pit crawling.
Truly an example of DOing WORK!
The first annual teacher race occurred at lunch to get the students excited to run. Sutter students voted for their favorite teachers to be a part of a scooter race around the track. Mr. Latino was victorious with Mr. Moreno a close second. A little friendly competition to inspire others to always push themselves and show the students we aren't afraid to have a little fun ourselves.
The students also participated in class races amongst each period. What an amazing effort by all!
