The Penn Highland representatives will be coming into students' dual enrollment classes on these day so students need to be in attendance in order to receive this help. To help make the process go smoothly students should have/know the following information:
Cell Phone to verify your account
Phone Number (that is able to accept voicemail messages)
Email Address (that a parent/guardian can is able to access in order to assist with payment)
Social Security Number
Address
Payment will have to be done at home with a parent/guardian after the application and registration process is complete.
In order to receive Dual Enrollment Credit through Penn Highlands, a student must:
Apply to Penn Highlands (if they have not already done so in previous years/semester)
For English Composition I and Physics, students must pass an entrance exam (This was given last spring at CHS but can be taken at the Penn Highlands campus)
Register for classes. (You will need to be logged in to complete this step.)

When you get to the add/drop section of this process:
Add 24-25 winter alternative at the top
Select "more search options" at the bottom
Under campus drop down box select "Central High School"
Do NOT add anymore information about the course you are searching for
A list of all courses offered at Central High School will appear after you submit this search and you can select your courses from this list.
To view your tuition invoice online:
log into your MYMAC Portal at: https://portal.mtaloy.edu/ics
Select student tab
Scroll to the My Account Info section
Select Tuition Invoice, Generate tuition Invoice, and View Tuition Invoice
To pay your invoice or set up a payment plan online
Follow Steps 1,2,&3 above
Select Go To CASHNet
From the menu on the left-hand side, select Make a Payment and follow the prompts.
Or from the menu on the left-hand side, select Payment Plans and follow the prompts.
If someone will be making payments on your behalf, you can invite them as a payer in Cashnet.
*Invoices are due October 30th. Failure to make payment arrangements by the due date will result in your registration being dropped. There is a non-refundable fee of $25 for the payment plan.

To register for any of the College in High School opportunities, students/parents/guardians will need do the following by the associated deadline:
Step1: Complete the 2025-2026 College in High School Application:
Please visit francis.edu/chs
Select “Take me to the application”.
Complete with Parent/Guardian.
Items you will need:
• Student information (name, address, email, etc.
• Select the course(s) that you would like to be enrolled
• Sign the University Acknowledgement and disclosures
• Provide parental consent.
After filling in your child’s contact information, the next step is to choose the high school to which your child attends and anticipated year of graduation. This will show all courses available for your child.
Below this section is our online courses. If your child is only applying for dual enrollment in the classroom, skip to the University Disclosures Section and finish the form.
Step 2: Submit the payment for the tuition fee.
Upon submission of the 2025-2026 College in High School Application, you will be asked to submit a payment for the total tuition fee through the PayPal Payment system.
There is a PayPal button in the middle of the screen to click. You do not need a PayPal account, you can submit as a guest. If you choose to check out as a guest, you will have an option to pay with a debit or credit card.
You will not be registered for a course until the payment is received. You will receive reminder emails until the payment is processed.
Tuition cost for dual enrollment is $65.00 per credit.

When applying to colleges, you will need to provide copies of your official transcripts. The CHS Guidance Office CAN provide you with your CHS transcript. The CHS Guidance Office CANNOT provide you with a transcript from the college you took your dual enrollment course through. This means you will have to request an official transcript from each of the colleges that you took a dual enrollment course through. Before taking a dual enrollment course, you may want to see if your credits will transfer to the college you are hoping to attend after high school. Some students have also used transferability information to help make a choice about which college to attend. However you would like to the use the information, it's helpful to have.
