Upcoming Information Sessions 

To attend an information session students must sign up the day before the session begins using the forms posted to their grade level google classroom. An appointment will be sent to the student on the morning of the information session through the pass system. Information sessions will be held in the guidance office.  These information sessions are available to 10th-12th grade students.

ASVAB

The ASVAB test held at CHS on November 19, 2025

PSAT/NMSQT

11th graders who would like to take the PSAT/NMSQT need to complete the form posted to their google classroom by September 19, 2025.

The test will be held at CHS on October 15th 

The cost of the test is $18. Payment is due in guidance by October 15th 

The standardized test primarily used to qualify students for the National Merit Scholarship Program and provide a practice version of the SAT.

The goals of the merit program are to:

• identify and honor academically talented U.S. high school students and encourage them to pursue rigorous college studies

• provide professional services for corporations, company foundations, colleges and universities and other individuals and organizations that wish to sponsor scholarships for outstanding participants in the competition.

• encourage the pursuit of academic excellence at all levels of education.

The Financial Aid Office at Mount Aloysius College is offering sessions to assist in filing the 2026-2027 FAFSA. If you are uneasy about completing the FAFSA, let them help you!

Bring the following (Parent(s) & Student):

• Your personal Laptop (preferred)

• 2024 Federal Tax Returns & W-2’s

• Taxed & Untaxed Income Documentation

• Current Balance of Cash, Savings, & Checking

• Net worth of Investments & Business/Farm Value

• Child Support Received

• If parents are married, but filed separate returns or are not married and live together, then both parents must get FSA ID’s & each must complete their sections of the FAFSA.

The Financial Aid Timeline

This presentation will start with an overview of financial aid basics, then transition into providing targeted information for students from nineth grade through their higher education journey. We'll talk about scholarships, dive into education costs, and provide resources you can take away. Students and parents are welcome! Know what to expect when it comes to paying for higher education because failing to plan is planning to fail.

Understanding the Offer Letter

The offer letter that you receive from institutions may include several types of financial aid. The Account Executive Team will help explain what considerations go into preparing an offer letter, review the cost of attendance, and then provide an in-depth overview of the items found in most offer letters. At the end of this presentation, you’ll have a better understanding of the types of aid being offered and you'll more easily identify the balances and next steps so that you can make informed decisions.
