The resident training program lasts approximately 28 weeks
Cadets receive a salary of $1,595.20 biweekly (before deductions) during the training period.
To be eligible for the Academy candidates must have:
High School Diploma or GED
Must be 20 years old on or after the date their application is completed.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age and cannot have reached their 40th birthday prior to or on the date of appointment as a State Police Cadet.

A resume is a summary of your work and educational experience.
Should be at least one page and no more than two pages printed back and front
Include the following:
Your contact information to include:
A personal email with a professional souding address (some combination of your first and last name is best)
A phone number with a mailbox that has been set up and is able to receive voicemails
Your educational experience (high school and above; if applicable include GACTC )
Your work experience
Your volunteer experience
Extracurriular acitivies
Certifications and awards
Be sure to highlight any relevant certifications, trainings, or accomplishments
Be sure to use proper grammar and correct spelling
Remember you have acces to a resume builder in Xello. In your junior year you will be required to create a resume as part of your preperation for the Mock Interview.
