Discussion

Discussion and dialogue are important indicators of learning. In an online or hybrid course, there is the opportunity to capture these discussions for asynchronous learning. These "archived" discussions make it very easy to assess the learning!

Use YouTube to post a video/images and have students leave comments (text or video) for discussion.

Use a traditional Discussion Board in Canvas, and, create a solid rubric in Canvas.
Have students use the like system in the traditional discussion boards in Canvas -- uses thumbs up This will motivate students to thoughtfully respond.
