Prignano Cilento

The Oasis, located within a 3,024-hectare Site of Community Importance (SCI), encompasses a large portion of the Alento River and is a highly valuable natural park, capable of offering a wide range of tourist services. At the center of the Oasis is an earth dam which, by barring the river's course, created an artificial lake of just under 2 square kilometers. Along the right bank of the river, an area rich in ecologically significant small lakes has developed, whose primary purpose is the conservation and protection of biodiversity. The integrity of this natural habitat, which has attracted families, schools, and outdoor sports enthusiasts for years, represents one of the main attractions for those wishing to immerse themselves in the pristine beauty of the Cilento nature.
