The administrative team went on a few learning walks for the last two years. This has allowed the School Department to have deep conversations about instruction, assessment and curriculum implementation across schools and grade levels.
Learning Walks are non-evaluative and aim to highlight the great work that happens in our classrooms. Issues of equity, access and engagement are uncovered as a result of our Learning Walks. Finally, the Learning Walks ensure that the administrative team also has a unified vision and definition of what teaching and learning should look like, feel like and sound like. Below is the progress we have made within the last few years in identifying indicators and improvement in all areas. We have an amazing group of teachers and paraprofessionals that go above and beyond for all students.
