Located at the southeastern-most tip of Toltecan, this proud democracy has been giving their citizens full say in all affairs since time immemorial. Devoted to peaceful coexistence and the pleasures of life, the nation excels in insulating itself from more contested issues that have wracked the continent over the millennia.

Fish Neck

Existing in a large glacial valley between the discontinuous end of the Toltekanian Divide, a cluster of fishing communities exploit the cold upwellings along this part of the continent. With strong cultural connections with the sheep herders in southern Dayoca, it's a lovely traditional community.

Ibagon Peninsula

The final gasp of the Toltekanian Divide before dropping off into the deep ocean, the Ibagon Peninsula features the capital city as well as vineyards and small lumber and mining operations that keep the citizens working and satisfied.

Patapi Research Station

Located in the remote stretches of the Southern Ocean, these islands have been set aside for research studies on evolution and the exotic forms of life that have developed here over millions of years.

[EN] Description of the Flag's elements:

1) The color yellow and orange symbolizes optimism, prosperity and clarity.

2) The rays of the sun symbolize the multiethnic and multicultural diversity of the peoples of Segonia. The spiral in the center represents that all decisions are discussed collectively until a common goal is reached.

People and Culture / Pessoas e Cultura

[PT] Descreva as pessoas e a cultura de sua nação;

A população de Segonia é composta por grupos multiétnicos e multiculturais, unidos pela participação ativa dos cidadãos em todas as instâncias de decisões, dotados de valores como isonomia, isocracia e isegoria. Além disso, nesse território há a valorização do trabalho cooperativo, nos setores de mineração, pesca, madeira, vinícolas (vinho) e produção científica, visando o desenvolvimento e união dos povos da península.

Segonia é marcada pela presença de diversas comunidades locais, cada uma com seu respectivo idioma - todos reconhecidos oficialmente. No entanto, visando evitar a hegemonia de uma cultura sobre a outras, nesse país o idioma Esperanto é utilizado para os grupos se comunicarem entre si internamente e externamente com povos de outros países.

[EN] Describe the people and culture of your nation;

The population of Segonia is made up of multi-ethnic and multicultural groups, united by the active participation of citizens in all decision making instances, endowed with values such as isonomy, isocracy, and isegoria. Besides this, in this territory there is the valorization of cooperative work, in the sectors of mining, fishing, wood, wineries (wine), and scientific production, aiming at the development and union of the peoples of the peninsula.

Segonia is marked by the presence of several local communities, each with its own language - all officially recognized. However, in order to avoid the hegemony of one culture over the others, in this country the language Esperanto is used for the groups to communicate among themselves internally and externally with people from other countries.

Os grupos multiétnicos e multiculturais de Segonia, tanto de “Fish Neck”, quanto de "Hibagon", valorizam as relações do homem com o meio natural, bem como, a harmonia entre os diversos grupos, a cooperação entre os trabalhadores pescadores do litoral e os mineiros, madeireiros, pequenos agricultores da Capital Mendelan na Península de Ibagon.

The multiethnic and multicultural groups in Segonia, both in Fish Neck and Ibagon, value the relationship between man and nature, the harmony between the various groups, the cooperation between the fishermen on the coast and the miners, loggers, and small farmers in the Mendelan Capital on the Peninsula.

A motivação das pessoas de Segonia é a solidariedade entre eles, uma vez que, o ideal desse país é proporcionar uma vida pacífica, prazerosa, equitativa e com relações internas e externas pautadas no diálogo e no respeito mútuo.

[EN] What drives and motivates the people in your country?

The motivation of the people of Segonia is solidarity among themselves, since the ideal of this country is to provide a peaceful, pleasant, and equitable life, with internal and external relations based on dialogue and mutual respect.

Resources and Institutions / Recursos e Instituições

Segonia é composta por três tipos de instituições. São elas: assembleia, grupos de trabalho e grupos de convencimento. A assembleia é o órgão máximo de deliberação, ela funciona com os votos de todos os cidadãos de Segonia. Para que todas as decisões do país sejam tomadas, é necessário que todos os membros da assembleia concordem por unanimidade. Ela é presidida por mediadores. Os grupos de trabalho são grupos criados em assembleia e que são responsáveis pela execução dos encaminhamentos da assembleia. Dentre os grupos de trabalho, o único que tem cláusula própria em Constituição é o grupo de trabalho Militar. Finalmente, todo cidadão de Segonia tem direito a se organizar com outros cidadãos para defender uma posição dentro da assembleia, sendo esses o grupo de convencimento.

[EN] Segonia is composed of three types of institutions. These are: the assembly, working groups, and persuasion groups. The assembly is the highest decision-making body; it functions with the votes of all the citizens of Segonia. For all decisions in the country to be made, all members of the assembly must agree unanimously. It is presided over by mediators. Working groups are groups created in the assembly and are responsible for carrying out the assembly's directions. Among the working groups, the only one that has its own clause in the Constitution is the Military working group. Finally, every citizen of Segonia has the right to organize with other citizens to defend a position within the assembly, and these are the persuasion group.

Energy Policy / Política Energética

A política Energética de Segona é composta por XX diretrizes: 1) Agência Nacional de Energia (PNE), certificando o acesso à energia barata, confiável, sustentável e renovável para todos os cidadãos de Segonia. 2) Sistema Integrado de Matriz Energética, atuando nas frentes de eficiência energética; pesquisa e desenvolvimento no setor de energia limpa, sustentáveis e renováveis; modernização da infraestrutura; e cooperação internacional. 3) Empresa Nacional de Energia de Segonia, responsável por administrar toda a infraestrutura energética de Segonia.

[EN] Segonia's Energy policy is composed of XX guidelines: 1) National Energy Agency (NEP), certifying access to cheap, reliable, sustainable and renewable energy for all citizens of Segonia. 2) Integrated Energy Matrix System, acting on the fronts of energy efficiency; research and development in the clean, sustainable and renewable energy sector; infrastructure modernization; and international cooperation. 3) Segonia's National Energy Company, responsible for managing Segonia's entire energy infrastructure.

Point Hazards Assessment / Avaliação de Perigos Pontuais

A assembleia de Segônia se reuniu para avaliar os perigos que ameaçam o país. O principal grande risco é a chegada de um tsunami, que poderá afetar a costa leste do país e destruir sua ilha. Além disso, há chance de uma chuva de cinzas. Diante disso, a assembleia trabalhou na elaboração de uma cartilha para desastres naturais, visando orientar a população e reduzir os riscos. Além disso, o país conta com abrigos -mantido pelos militares- que podem ser utilizados como refúgio mediante a necessidade.

Para a enfrentar o tsunami, devido a grande tecnologia e pesquisa científica Segônia conseguirá acompanhar sua evolução e cuidar da prevenção, alertando à população das áreas de risco e guiando-as até os abrigos.

Pós desastre, Segônia conseguira manter suas bases de pesquisa em Dayoca, conforme assinado no tratado de cooperação científica. Para a reconstrução da infraestrutura do país, Segônia participará como credor e como recebedor de crédito do Tratado de constituição do Fundo Monetário Internacional Emergencial (FMIE), a depender dos interesses e situação.

Systemic Hazards Assessment / Avaliação de Riscos Sistêmicos

Os riscos sistêmicos para Segonia são a diminuição das temperaturas, diminuição da chuva e aumento do nível do mar. O principal deles é o aumento do nível do mar, irá atingir grande parte do teritório de Fish Neck, afetando a infraestrutura pesqueira e diretamente a renda local dos pesqueiros. ...........
