"GBH's Weekend Workshop is a learning and creative space for all writers, singers, poets, dancers, creatives who are passionate about leadership development, performance, and social justice issues. It is a weekly workshop series where ARTIVISTS from all across the city come together to explore identity and leadership, power, privilege and oppression, and art and activism. Guided by dynamic Teaching & Performing Artists, participants work together as an ensemble to create a powerful performance that speaks truth to both the reality of the world we live in today, and to the world they envision.

"Casita Maria is an afterschool program located in the Hunts Point area of the South Bronx, inside of the Bronx Studio School for Writers and Artists (BSSWA). Our program serves grades K-12. We collaborate with BSSWA and our community partnerships to meet the needs of all of our Young Artists. Our afterschool program provides academic enrichment, including SAT preparation; workshops in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math); and college- and career-readiness workshops. We also have fun workshops in music, robotics, sports and fitness, photography, dance, spoken word, performing arts, and so much more!"

MCC Theater Youth Company Auditions

If you are looking to challenge yourself creatively while building a supportive community of peers and artists, audition for MCC Theater's Youth Company! The MCC Theater Youth Company is a free, after-school program for New York City high school students interested in developing their acting and dramatic writing skills. Audition for the Performance and/or Playwriting Labs. Both auditions and the fall program will be conducted in person.

ICP Teen Academy welcomes teenagers ages 14–19 from across the United States and around the world to develop their skills as visual storytellers and changemakers in a range of online and in-person courses. The program is designed to cultivate visual literacy, personal vision, and leadership skills through courses focused on the techniques and histories of photography and visual culture.

Seasonal Courses
Teen Academy offers quarterly courses across genres and techniques for every level student. All curricula include: photographic and writing assignments, open lab time, visual presentations, discussions, critiques, guest artist visits, field trips, and a culminating presentation for family and friends celebrating the students’ achievements.
College Now is a FREE college transition/dual enrollment program for New York City Department of Education high school students. Successful College Now students can start their first semester in college with up to fifteen college credits – or, at minimum, begin college without remediation. On average, College Now alumni transfer more credits to CUNY (6.50 vs. 1.50), earn more credits in their first semester (11.10 vs. 8.50), and have a higher GPA after their first semester when compared to students who did not participate in the program. The academic momentum they gain persists through graduation as College Now alumni have a fourteen percent higher three-year associate degree and five percent higher six-year bachelor’s degree completion rate in CUNY than those who did not participate the program.
