Secret Sites of Staten Island

Gaynor McCown Expeditionary Learning School: Intensives 2024

Overview

As students of Gaynor McCown Expeditionary Learning School, we participate in Intensives each year. Intensive units of study allow us to explore knowledge outside of the typical classroom setting on topics that we find interesting. These intensives help teach us skills and expose us to content that can help prepare us for life's next expedition!

Secret Sites of Staten Island

Underrated. Unappreciated. Undervalued. Staten Island is often overlooked as the "forgotten borough," so very few of us explore the hidden gems in our own backyard. Join us as we uncover the history of Staten Island by touring our island's secret sites. What hidden treasures will you uncover?
