Hello Kindergarten Families,
'SOTInomics' Day was a great success! It was so nice to see all of the kindergarteners and PreK students!!
On May 7th, we will host a mini-version of our Mother's Day Tea. Since Marian Hall is under construction, we will have a Mother's Day Celebration on Thursday, May 7, 2026, from 1:30-2:15. After you get checked in, head over to the East Wing Field..around the corner from PreK to the tent area. Gather around the front of the tent and we will welcome you and sing a few songs. Students will be standing under the tent grouped by classroom.
After the songs, we will head to the classroom and have a special treat!
The event will end around 2:15. We will have sign-out forms in the classroom if you'd like to take your kiddo. Otherwise, we'll have a normal dismissal.
Reminder: Marian Hall is closed. We will eat in our classrooms or outside. Feel free to send in a labeled towel if we have a picnic lunch! Memories made here:-)
We will continue with CVC words, CVCe words and Trick Words (see video link above...click the gear at the bottom to adjust speed) during Fundations, practice reading/comprehension skills, and in Math, we'll work on plane and solid shapes, positions, attributes, and comparisons. We will learn about seeds, plants, flowers, and trees and move on to insects and creatures. As always...practice math facts and be sure there is plenty of time for reading!!

Important Reminders
** Get VIRTUS certified as soon as possible **
**grab some labels or a Sharpie and label water bottles, lunchboxes, sweaters, snack bags/containers...etc...** It is a lot easier to return items which have been labelled...
**Morning snacks are to be a healthy snack such as fresh fruit, cheese, veggie, pepperoni/rolled up meat, or nuts, (no peanuts). **
**we will go out for recess and breaks each day, so dress for the weather. We will stay in if it is too snowy, rainy, or bitterly cold......a warm coat, hats, and gloves will be needed. Please practice zipping and buttoning with your kiddos!!**
