Language Arts 

We are working on Unit 6 Fundations. We will be focusing focus on teaching the suffix '-s' (for plurals or action words). Trick Words are were, are, who, what, when, there, here. We will continue our small group reading instruction. 

Math 

The focus will be: 

• Addition and Subtraction strategies of counting on and counting back to solve equations

• Making 10

• Doubles

• Addition and subtraction word problems with putting together and taking away 

• Adding and subtracting within word problems 

• Understanding the relationship between addition and subtraction 

• Fact Fluency 

Science/Social Studies

We will begin our Science Unit focusing on light and sound. 

Religion 

This week our learning goals include: 

• God chose Jesus Our Savior 

Specials 

Monday: Music

Tuesday: PE (PE Uniforms)

Wednesday: Library

Thursday: World Cultures

Dear Families,

We’d like to share a couple quick health reminders in an effort to support a healthy school community.

Please keep your child home if they are sick, as this helps prevent illness from spreading to others. We know this can be an inconvenience, since you have to rearrange schedules, we truly appreciate all your efforts to keep your child home when they are not feeling well. If your child is coughing or sneezing, but well enough to attend school, we kindly ask that they wear a mask. This is not required, but we would appreciate the courtesy. 

We also encourage you to remind your child(ren) to fully tuck their mouth and nose into their elbow when coughing or sneezing to help reduce the spread of droplets. Please practice this and good hand washing techniques at home so these healthy habits stick.

If your child is diagnosed with a communicable illness (for example: flu, COVID, RSV), we’d appreciate you letting our school nurse, Ms. Toth, know by emailing her at stoth@schooloftheincarnation.org so she can track trends and take appropriate actions when needed.

• Gentle Reminder for Late Arrivals

  • After 8:15am, please park and bring your student into the lobby and sign them into school. If the safeties and staff are no longer outside, ALL students should come through the main entrance/front doors. This is for safety purposes as all other entrances lock at 8:15am.

• Friday, February 6th- Spirit Wear Day/ Father Daughter Dance (6:30)

• Monday, February 9th- St. Josephine Bahkita Feast Day (Green House)- If you are in the Green House wear your house color! 

• Friday, February 13th- Spirit Wear Day/  Early Dismissal / ESP 1st-8th ONLY

• Monday, February 16th- NO SCHOOL for President's Day
