Language Arts 

We are working on Unit 6 Fundations. We will be focusing focus on teaching the suffix '-s' (for plurals or action words). Trick Words are were, are, who, what, when, there, here. We will continue our small group reading instruction. 

Math 

The focus will be: 

• Addition and Subtraction strategies of counting on and counting back to solve equations

• Making 10

• Addition and subtraction word problems with putting together and taking away 

• Adding and subtracting within word problems 

• Fact Fluency 

Science/Social Studies

We will continue our Social Studies Unit of learning about how the past helps us. 

Religion 

This week our learning goals include: 

• Epiphany 

• God chose Joseph and Mary

• God chose Jesus Our Savior 

Specials 

Monday: Music

Tuesday: PE (PE Uniforms)

Wednesday: Library

Thursday: World Cultures

Friday: Art 

Announcements:

• Gentle Reminder for Late Arrivals

  • After 8:15am, please park and bring your student into the lobby and sign them into school. If the safeties and staff are no longer outside, ALL students should come through the main entrance/front doors. This is for safety purposes as all other entrances lock at 8:15am.

• Lunches from outside restaurants may not be brought into the cafeteria with the exception of the child’s birthday. Students are not permitted to have lunches delivered to school by Door Dash or similar services. Parents may provide a special lunch for their child, not the child’s classmates, on the child’s birthday.
