Meet the Counselors

Daniela Martinez

It's a joy  for me working in SCCS. I love Kids, I think they can teach us more than we can we imagine.

I have been working as a Counselor since 2015 and it's something that I love to do.

It is important for me that parents and students know that I am here to fully attend to the needs they have as well as accompany, contain and guide in everything that is within my reach.

Always with empathy and with an eye on finding solutions.

Melissa Lopez

I’m Ms. Melissa Lopez and I am so excited to be a part of the SCCS family. I have been working in international schools for 10 years. I started as a Physics and Biology teacher, but found my passion in Mental Health and Wellbeing 5 years ago and pursued a Master's of Education in International School Counseling from Lehigh University. I am coming to Bolivia from Tegucigalpa, Honduras. I have helped students work through tough relationships, substance abuse, depression, eating disorders, bullying, suicide ideation, self-harm, divorced parents, stress and anxiety, academic burnout among many more.

I am a third culture kid (TCK). I was born in Colombia, raised in Brazil, attended university in Canada and have worked in Brazil, China, Uzbekistan, Honduras, and now Bolivia! I have three beautiful cats: Jett, Toothless and Lenca. On my own time, I love crocheting, playing volleyball, hiking, swimming, and throwing pottery.
