As a member of SCASD, I can collaborate with other programs and providers to connect SCASD students to mental health support. More information on our School-Based Mental Health Program can be found here: School-Based Mental Health Program.

I am thankful to collaborate with my fellow SCASD Clinicians and Pennsylvania State University's Herr Clinic. Our short-term services (10-12 sessions) help students who face barriers to receiving community therapy (e.g., no insurance, no transportation, etc.) receive counseling while connecting them with an outside community provider. 

Suppose you are facing barriers to getting counseling and find that your mental health is impacting your academics. In that case, you can make an appointment to meet with your school counselor or administrator and discuss if a "School-Based Mental Health" referral is right for you.
