SBM controls students’ academic violations, a violation which is defined as activities that tend to weaken the integrity of the institution and undermine the educational process.
Academic violations include, (not limited to the following violations):
Academic Fraud
Forgery
Plagiarism
Disturbance
Violating College rules
Helping Academic Fraud
If the student violates academic conduct standards, it will be penalized in accordance with the level of the offenses committed.
Here are the sanctions of each academic violation:
1. Category of violation : Light

First Violation: Making a statement to not repeat the same conduct.
Second violation: A written warning letter will be forwarded to parents of students.
Third Violation: Asked to Discipline Committee to be given appropriate sanctions with suspension (skorsing) as the highest punishment
2. Category of violation : Medium
Type of violation
Using the words or works of another person as the words or works of his own in an academic activity without mentioning the references used.
TYPE OF SANCTIONS
First Violation: Decline in grade of assignments’ or exams’ in which the violation occurred, or not getting grade for any assignments, papers, courses or exams in which violations occurred, or not getting grade of the course
Second violation: Suspension (skorsing) or not allowed to receive academic services for a certain period of time.
Long suspension will be determined through SBM-ITB Disciplinary Committee.
Third Violation: Asked to Discipline Committee to be given appropriate sanctions with suspension (skorsing) as the highest punishment
3. Category of violation : Heavy
Type of violation
Cheating at exam time, by using or attempting to use information, materials or other study aids during exams, unless the students are given permission from instructor or professor who was commissioned by the Study Program.
Provide facilities or accommodation that can lead to academic fraud activities..
Influence or attempt to influence others by persuading, giving gifts, or threatening, in order to obtain ease in completing the test, independent assignment, final project reports and so forth.
Cheat on others’ assignment or exams.
Submit a paper without properly enclose the source of the paper used as a reference.
Citing a source of reference material with no facts or false.
Using unauthorized assistance in a computer lab or field work.
Does not comply with the requirements of academic integrity which has been announced clearly in a lecture.
Provide assistance and cheat or giving a sign or accept a particular sign to tell the answer during the exam.
Give information about the exam or assignment that had just held that causes an unfair advantage in academic evaluation.
Provide assistance to other students, which is prohibited by a teacher, in research, preparation, creation, writing, implementation or publication of academic works that cause injustice to students.

Second violation: Status as an SBM/ITB student will be revoked permanently
4. Category of violation : Very heavy
Type of violation
Changing, or falsifying grades, academic transcript, KTM (Student Identity Card), KSM (Student Study Card), the tasks of lectures, reports, letters, statements, or signatures within the scope of academic activities, as well as other attributes used for campus life.
Replace or perform activities on behalf of others in academic activities, such as lectures, exams, lab work, or completing other academic duties, either at the request of others and the will of its own.
Asking others, both ITB academicians and others outside ITB, to replace or perform academic tasks, whether for its own or other people.
Possess, buy, sell, remove, accept, or use file materials which are intended to be used as an instrument of academic evaluation, in part or in whole, in any way and at the time that does not comply with teacher instructions.
Take or attempt to take, steal or otherwise provide lectures facility or stuff with an unauthorized manner, including but not limited to, exams, lab equipment and others.
Sell, give,or lend materials containing questions or answers to the scheduled exam that will be given on the next day .
Stealing or damaging the academic work or business of other students.
Submitting another student's work in the form of identical or similar to meet other academic requirements in any institution, and has been submitted.
Submitting the academic work or academic examination or evaluation that has been prepared by others, in part or entirely.
Giving permission to use someone's work to be proposed and recognized as the work of someone else.
Provide assistance to other students, which is prohibited by a teacher, in research, preparation, creation, writing, implementation or publication of academic works that cause injustice to students.
TYPE OF SANCTIONS
(In accordance with Article 8.2 Academic Regulations ITB) Sanctions for students who have committed violations above are: Status as an SBM/ITB student will be revoked permanently
If students do individual violations, they will be penalized in accordance with the level of the offenses committed.
Here are the penalties of each individual violations committed by an individual student:
1. Category of violation : Light

Smoking at inappropriate places
Throw trash carelessly or littering
Unable to show the identity of SBM / ITB student upon official request from SBM/ITB officer for activities that demand it.
Students were required to wear decent clothes and neat (no hotpants or mini skirts)
Clothes must not show the area around belly and waist.
Female students are not allowed to wear jewelry excessively.
Male students are strictly prohibited wearing earrings and piercing on any part of body
Students are not allowed to wear sandals, slippers, or any similar footwear.

First Violation: Verbally warned
Second Violation: A written warning letter will be forwarded to parents of students.
Third Violation: Asked to Discipline Committee to be given appropriate sanctions with suspension (skorsing) as the highest punishment.
2. Category of violation : Medium
Type of violation
Manipulate and create dispute between two other parties.
Misapplying campus facilities, including damaging and striking out the various facilities such as: tables, chairs, computers and others.
Do an indecent action and say indecent words.
Engaged in any kind of behavior that is rude, impolite and does not comply with the rules. Students will also be subjected to disciplinary action if doing anything that disturb peace or help, incite,screw up in the property SBM or activity that is sponsored by SBM.
Unauthorized usage of each SBM/ITB facility.
Unauthorized usage of each SBM/ITB vehicle.
Failure to fulfill or obey orders of the judicial body or official body of SBM.

3. Category of violation : Heavy
Type of violation
Commits a violation by forcing/ fighting / threatening / intimidating others.
Directly disrupt the course of official events ITB by force or by other means.
Have a fight or quarrel with others.
Damaging tools / equipment / buildings owned by ITB.
Do abusive actions such as beating.
Possess , carry, keep, trade or distribute liquor.
Drinking alcohol and cause a disturbance on campus.
Gambling both inside and outside ITB area.
Modify, lend, sell or transfer Student Card to another person.
Possess, create, distribute, use or sell liquor or inappropriate materials in the property SBM / ITB or during activities organized by SBM / ITB
Interfere other people’s freedom of movement to and from the facility SBM / ITB or disrupting operations of SBM / ITB.
Attempt to affect the neutrality or fairness of each member of the judicial body prior to or during trial.
Disrupting the judicial process.
Found starting a judicial claims without any proof that supports the claim.

Second violation: Status as a SBM/ITB student will be revoked permanently
4. Category of violation : Very heavy
Type of violation
Conduct a forgery or falsification.
Conduct a robbery or theft.
Violation of regulations in ITB systematically or intentionally.
Violation of regulations in the Republic of Indonesia on penalty of imprisonment.
Commit murder.
Rape or do immoral acts, which can lead to feelings of displeasure, pain (physical and mental) and disruption of the feelings and honor for those affected by the action (the victim).
Cause a fire in SBM and get the SBM property burnt.
Carry, possess, store, mastering, producing, processing, dispensing, provide, offer to sell, distribute, sell and become an intermediary in buying and selling or exchanging drugs / psychotropic substances without the permission of authorities.
Bring, store, trade, distribute, create or use a weapon without a permit.
Possess, carry, keep, trade, manufacturing, or processing of explosives stuff ITB area.
Caught in falsifying, distorting, or misinterpreting the information to the judicial body or administrator.

Possess, carry, keep, trade, manufacturing, or processing of explosives stuff ITB area.
Create a fresher week, an orientation week for freshman which is held by seniors.
