“[Common Sense Education] does a really good job at giving and providing resources for families because Digital Citizenship is not something that just sticks in the classroom. It happens in the home too. Being able to provide digestible resources for parents, who may not be familiar with technology, is key [so students] get it on both fronts. And we have tons of those resources on our website to do just that.”

This session of SBCSS DigCit Week 2022, hosted by DLS, features Common Sense Education (CSE). Join Sue Thotz, Senior Program Manager, and Kristin Oropeza, Education Marketing & Community Coordinator for Common Sense Education as they share the wealth of DigCit resources from CSE that are available to support the endeavors of families and educators striving to promote healthy online behaviors. Sue & Kristin share CSE’s DigCit Daily Calendars, filtered by grade level, that use fun activities and resources to help strengthen students’ digital citizenship knowledge and awareness. The lessons contained within the calendars help empower students with the tools and information they need to shape their digital lives for the better.
