Adaptability is a critical skill for navigating today’s workplace and changing career landscape. This module helps students develop the mindset and strategies needed to view change as an opportunity, not an obstacle. By integrating the SBCSS Employability Skills into the classroom, educators can empower students to build resilience, manage stress, communicate effectively, and grow from feedback.
Aligned to California’s Career Ready Practices, this content supports students in developing transferable skills through interactive presentations, career-focused activities, and real-world scenarios. Students will explore how adaptability influences career readiness, document their learning in a career portfolio, and practice sharing their stories to prepare for future job opportunities.
This page includes a teacher guide, student resources, and all necessary links to help implement the Adaptability module, equipping students for success in school, work, and life.
The teacher guide, presentations, and worksheets have been adapted from Oregon Employability Skills and tailored to meet the needs of our region.
