Dr. Lisa Doner

Associate Professor and Environmental Coordinator at PSU

Dr. Lisa Doner is an Associate Professor and Coordinator of Environmental Science and Policy at Plymouth State University where she teaches undergraduate and graduate courses on science in Climate Change and on societal concerns in Climate, Risk and Adaptation. Her research on causes and impacts of climate change includes studies of lakes all over the world, including the eastern and western US, the eastern Canadian Arctic, Iceland and Turkey. Dr. Doner manages Plymouth State’s program GeoPaths: Engaging Students in the Geosciences Using a Lake Watershed Geosystems Path, which helps first-year students develop workforce skills in the sciences and establishes mentoring activities and internships that help position students for academic and career success. She worked with the meteorology faculty at Plymouth State to develop a new Climate Studies degree, that allows students from all areas of interest to build expertise in our world’s future (and past) climates.
