Dr. Matthew Ayres is a Professor of Biological Sciences at Dartmouth College where he teaches courses in ecology. He is also Co-Chair of the graduate program in Ecology, Evolution, Ecosystems & Society, Associate Director of the Institute of Arctic Biology, and Director of the Biology Foreign Studies Program. His research addresses the distribution and abundance of forest insects, especially those that sometimes become very abundant, kill trees, change forests, and affect people.
