Service ELO

For students that want to serve and share with their community to better understand themselves and the world around them.

Music Appreciation

Emma S. has been playing the violin and piano since she was in kindergarten. Over the years, she has worked hard to hone her skill, all because of her love for the way that music affects her and changes her. Emma is working closely with accomplished masters and competing and performing in her time outside of CHS, but she remembers the way her elementary music teacher inspired her and she wants to give back to other kids that may not have had the opportunities that Emma has been given. Emma created an ELO that allows her to create content and assist an elementary music teacher with their instrument lessons and music theory and appreciation classes. Emma is a "big kid" with a big passion, and her effort to share with the next generation serves both the Concord community, and Emma's own personal growth.

YEAH Council Advocate

Emma P. has been working with the NH YEAH Council for 2 years. The YEAH Council helps to provide tools for teens and young adults with disabilities and chronic health conditions. Emma is passionate about this and will be a member of the Council this year as she completes an ELO at CHS. During her tenure on the Council, Emma will attend the monthly meetings, plan and run a public Disability Advocacy Conference for families and caregivers, as well as help to develop a new breakout conference for teens. Emma will create new content for her peers, act on behalf of the Council in the state, network with neighboring states to create more pathways, and engage with the community. Emma will share light on the challenges and and successes of young people with disabilities and chronic health issues as they become strong, independent young adults in the world.
