How will the teachers coordinate teaching the kids that are learning remotely and those that are at school if they’re teaching the same class?
Both groups will get live support, but not necessarily at the same time. For example, for some classes that may be "flipped," students in-school may watch a pre-recorded lesson while the remote students get live support. Students in-school would get support after. We will need to have a a fluid support model across teachers to make this work.
How will the kids who are learning remotely 3 days per week be held accountable? Will attendance be taken at each class?
Yes, attendance will be taken. Students will be held accountable by demonstrating their proficiency in the learning objectives of the course.
Will the expectation be that students will be taking the classes at the same time as the schedule indicates now, but only remotely?
Yes
Do remote students still get to participate in extracurriculars after school, sport and clubs?
Yes, all in-school and remote students are enrolled as a part of the Portsmouth District and can fully participate in school activities.
