Off the bat, I will not be offended fo you skip right to the resources, I get it!
Fun fact about the adhd brain, habits are really hard to form, and once they are formed they are really hard to break. The same goes for other types of mental illness as well. This means that the things that may seem super easy for others like brushing teeth, taking medication, can be wicked hard to do. Whether it be due to forgetting it, or the small task feeling monumental at that moment. While this can be really hard, and discouraging in the moment, it doesn’t come from a lack of trying. It comes from not having the right system or strategy in place. This also applies to having lots of stuff to get done in a day. Oftentimes you will hear the phrase “eat the frog” and be told to do the hard things first, but for some it works better to check some little things off first to build momentum and feel good, and then eat the frog. Besides these little tips here I have a few more below that might help with the day to day stuff!
Each one of these is a strategy that I (or others) have found helpful in terms of daily routines and tasks. By clicking on the photo, you can get my little blurb all about them, and by clicking on the name, you can go right to the website and check it out yourself!
Not all of this has to be read up on in a short amount of time. It can help to take things slow and one at a time. Now, I know if it were me, I would completely ignore this message and just dive straight in, read it all, and probably get overwhelmed (or completely miss it and not read it at all), but you do what works for you! I hope these strategies help you out!
