Problems come in small, medium, and big sizes.
It is expected to have our behavioral reactions match the size our problems.
All feelings are ok. All behaviors are not.
It is expected for our emotional reaction to be really big even if it is a small problem. In these situations, we must process our emotional reaction in a healthy way outside of the problem situation.
For example, If I mess up on my school work, it is a small problem. It is expected for me to have a small behavioral reaction and simply erase the mistake and try again. If my feelings are really big, I may need to take a break and calm down.
